IOP Program for D & D New Beginnings: Substance Abuse and Trauma Focus
Program Structure:
Duration: Typically short-term, with about 12-16 hours of scheduled treatment each week.
Schedule: Flexible to accommodate clients' daily routines, with sessions held in the morning, evening, and weekends.
Modalities: A mix of individual therapy, group therapy, trauma-specific interventions, psychoeducation, and holistic treatments.
Treatment Components:
Individual Therapy:
Frequency: Two individual therapy sessions per week.
Focus: Addressing substance use, underlying trauma, and developing coping strategies.
Modalities: Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
Group Therapy:
Frequency: Multiple group sessions per week.
Focus: Building a supportive community, sharing experiences, and learning from others.
Types of Groups: Relapse prevention, trauma processing, life skills development, and stress management.
Family Therapy:
Frequency: Integrated at the client's pace.
Focus: Improving family dynamics, communication, and support for the client’s recovery.
Approach: Family systems therapy and psychoeducation about addiction and trauma.
Psychoeducation:
Frequency: Weekly sessions.
Focus: Educating clients about the nature of addiction, the impact of trauma, and the recovery process.
